Trollhetta, together with Kongsberg Maritime (Project responsible), Statoil, NTE Energy, NTNU, SINTEF, Marintek, HiST and Light Structure, has completed a 3 year R&D project “Add-on Instrumentation for Wind turbines”

Implementation of this system for wind turbines will lead to a reduction in the number of unplanned visits, less downtime, and in some cases making it possible to run the wind turbines at reduced load instead of shut-down until maintenance can be carried out. Future maintenance, modification and repair of wind turbines will be based on the measured technical condition of systems and components.
